Is there really a business case for autonomous vehicles?

With news of the UK government’s new consultation on automated steering for vehicles, the subject of autonomous cars has once again hit headlines. The question is, do drivers and the public really want them? In some cases, it’s a firm NO.

Our latest exclusive report, based on the habits on 3,000 members of the public, lifts the lid on people’s attitudes to the technology behind autonomous vehicles, and whether the COVID-19 crisis has changed their views.

The results make interesting reading:

  • Confidence in autonomous cars has fallen over the last 12 months
  • The drivers of tomorrow are some of the most sceptical
  • Based on current consumer feedback, there might not be a viable business case for autonomous vehicles.

Following on from report #01 – Transport Use, this second part of our Driving the Future series reports on the changing attitudes towards our relationship with the buying, using and even driving, the vehicles of tomorrow.

Invaluable in understanding consumer behaviour going forward, the report highlights that the right messaging will be vital in engaging effectively with your future customers.
